Just thought I ask this question. I am trying to sort and tag the images in iPhoto I have around 7,000 to sort. Yes I know I should do them as I go along but in fact these are some I have imported from my PC to my Mac in bulk.

As I understand it all my images are in one folder called 'Photos' I can then create folders and albums as I need them, dragging and dropping the images into the correct location making then easy to find later. My understanding is that is creates a virtual link back to the original file in the Photos folder rather than a copy which is great.

However and maybe you've already experienced this problem and maybe even better you know the solution. Because the photos don't move out of the Photos folder how can I keep track of where I got to in my filing and sorting, obviously its not practicle to do all 7000 in one go.

Any suggestions just post them here.
